I apologise for letting my writing lapse yet again, but I'm afraid that Tony's health has preoccupied us for a while. We have, however, in spite of this setback been able to enjoy welcoming a few guests during what is usually a very quiet period, and In November I organised a surprise birthday supper for Tony who was only expecting to celebrate with his close family. I managed to hide an additional thirty guests into the Sun Room and we both enjoyed a fantastic evening, surrounded by our much-valued helpers plus friends and neighbours.
I am sitting in my study thinking of you all as the journey south to Crawley for Christmas would have been too difficult this year, but we are fortunate to have a cottage full of family again. Barbara
